Module 10 Revision Short-Courses...
Do you feel you need some professional guidance and
tuition in just a few aspects of the Module 10 Multiple Choice exam?
Total Training Support have now
scheduled the first intensive 2-day revision course, directly prior to the CAA's exam date, and just 5-10 minutes from the exam venue in Bedford.
If this proves to be popular, additional module revision short-courses will be
scheduled.
If you have already self-studied Module 10 (Aircraft Regulations) and have practiced the questions on this website, but feel you still have some weak points, that could really do with an explanation from a subject specialist, then this is the course for you.

Why should I do a
course?
You know the feeling, you have self-studied for the
subject for last few months. You are answering the practice exams but still not
quite managing to get 100% every time. You know your weak areas, but just
cannot seem to find the information, and not sure where to look.
You can, of course, go into the CAA exam knowing you have
gaps in your knowledge, or weak areas you just haven't had time to get down to
researching, what with work commitments and the kids demanding your attention at
home too. You are risking the £29 exam fee, but should some bad questions
crop up, you can always re-sit, and hope you get better questions next time, at
the cost of another £29 plus who knows what travel expenses to the exam
venue, etc.
Alternatively, you can sit in a pleasant
environment, one that is most conducive to learning, amongst other people who have exactly the same problems as you, and have your
weak areas explained by a subject specialist - a qualified instructor, filling
those knowledge gaps, at your agenda.
Additionally, you will often find that your boss is much more amenable
to the idea of letting you off work to attend a short (2-day) course (and may
even pay for it), than the full Modular course. Especially if you make it
evident that the majority of the studies have thus far been done in your own
time and at your own expense. A last moment revision course is that last
requirement to ensure you get this module out of the way.

What is the format of the course?
It is only 2-days. It is not a full Module 10
course. That is why you must have studied the Module 10 syllabus prior to
the course, and come armed with questions you want explanations to. The course starts at 8.30am (9.00am on the first day)
and finishes around 6.00pm, with an hour for lunch. After we have exhausted the
explanations (using PowerPoint projections and official reading material) to
questions put from you and your class mates, we will start to go through some of
the multiple choice exam questions, where you will practice, just as you have
been on your own up-to now, but this time, if you don't know the answer, it will
be fully explained by the instructor.
Within the 2-day course period, you will have
practiced and corrected, hundreds of exam questions, and have covered the
following objectives:
- Become familiarised with the CAA's multiple choice
examination philosophy.
- Be aware of the tricks used to distract and confuse
the examinee.
- Expand your knowledge of the subject, beyond that
necessary to answer specific questions.
- Be prepared for similar questions, and different
versions of questions, and questions which may have been reworded.

Must I have
studied the subject prior to attending the course?
Yes. The course is only 2-days. Intensive as
it may be, it will not give you ALL the subject knowledge you need to pass the
exam.

Do I get membership of the respective Module at club66pro.co.uk
as part of the course?
Since the course is in the 2-days immediately prior to the
CAA's exam date, we would have expected you to already have been an active
member of the associated module at club66pro.co.uk. Since you will
probably not have decided whether you wanted (or needed) to attend the course when
you first signed up for the Module membership, we could not have included that membership in
the cost of the course.
Therefore, as part compensation, our offer is this: If you are a member of the associated Module of
club66pro.co.uk for at least 1-month immediately prior to the course, we will
give you a £10 course-fee-reduction voucher. This will give you a £10
discount from the course fee quoted at the top of this page, and which will
be factored-in when you pay the balance of your fees on the first day of the
course.

Do I do the exam with you, or should I
book it with the CAA as normal?
We are not approved to carry-out examinations on behalf of
the CAA, so you will need to book that with the CAA. Booking the exam with the
CAA is your responsibility, and we suggest you do that at your earliest
convenience. We strongly recommend that you book the exam sitting which is
the day following the course. The nearest CAA exam venue is the Shuttleworth College, just
5-10 minutes drive away. Alternatively you can
book your exam at either Gatwick or Oxford.
There is a train (several times per hour) direct to Gatwick Airport from the course location in Bedford
(2-hours). Oxford is also about 2 hours away by coach, which runs every hour. If
you can travel off-peak, Gatwick by train is the cheapest.

Can I attend just one of the days if
(for example) I cannot get the full 2-days off work?
Yes, there is a 30% reduction in fees if you wish to do
just one of the 2-days. However, you are advised that the
instructor will not repeat any subject explanation that has already been done in
the previous day that you have not attended, as this would be wasting
the time of the class members who have paid for and attended both days.
The 30% reduction fee (rather than 50%) has been decided
upon since you would be occupying a space which would otherwise be filled by a
full fee-paying class member. We therefore believe that a 30% discount is a reasonable
compromise in the interests of flexibility.

Will I need to do any additional study,
either before or after the course?
Yes. The course is only 2-days. Intensive as
it may be, it will not give you ALL the subject knowledge you need to pass the
exam. You are therefore expected to have studied the subject PRIOR to the
course. Since we recommend that you do the CAA's exam the day after the
course, this course will be your last chance to iron-out any problems you have
encountered during your pre-course self-study.

Where is the course held?
The course is held in the county town of Bedford, at the
Star Rowing Club. It is a very pleasant learning environment, both in the
classroom, and the venue setting. Bedford is on the main rail line from both
Luton and London and there is even a train direct to Gatwick. Click
here for more details about the location and how to get there.

Where is the nearest
CAA examination centre?
Shuttleworth College, just outside Bedford. It is
about 5-10 minutes drive from Bedford. Since there is no public transport there, we can
arrange a lift to this exam centre on the morning or afternoon of the exam
(usually the Friday after the course), and return you to your hotel/B+B, or to
the Bedford train/bus station whichever you prefer. Arrangements for this will be made during the
course.

I'd like to sign-up. How does the
payment work?
Choose which dates you would like to attend. Make
sure you can get the time off work first, then simply click the "Attend this
course"
image. Follow the online instructions to make a payment by credit or debit
card.
Alternatively, you can download the cheque/draft/PO payment
form and send us a cheque or bankers draft. This sometimes causes problems if
very close to a course date, as there is a surge of bookings at this time, and
courses sometimes fill up in the time it takes for the cheque to arrive in the
post. Please book early to avoid such disappointment.
The deposit is £35.25 (£30 plus VAT). The balance is
payable on the first morning of the course, at which time we will also calculate
your 30% discount if you are attending just one day.

Can I get a refund of the deposit if I
subsequently cannot attend?
Up to 2-weeks prior to the start of the course, yes, a
full refund will be given. Less than 2-weeks prior to the course, the
deposit is forfeit.

Is there parking space at the venue?
Yes, and it's free.

I am not able to
attend a course, but can I buy the course notes?
There are not any course notes. As necessary, certain pages
from official reading material may be printed out and given to each class member
for reference, but which ones will depend on the subjects raised by the class
members.

Can you help me get to the exam centre at
Shuttleworth College on the Friday after the course?
The instructor will provide transport for a limited number
of people (one car load) on the (usually) Friday morning and/or afternoon, and back to Bedford. There may
also be other people on the course with a car, who is staying at Bedford for the
course, who will be able to help with transport to and from the exam venue.
Arrangements will be made during the course.
